Beat the winter skin !!!!

Dull, grey and miserable, if this describes your skin as well as the winter weather keep reading. If like most of us after the excess of Christmas your skin needs a helping hand try out some of these beauties.

Clarins Beauty Flash Balm, this has been a favourite of mine for about 5 years now. It can used on top of moisturiser on non makeup days to give your skin a dewy glow. It is a peach colour which counteracts the grey hue we all have this time of the year. It can also be used under makeup again to give a glow. If you are really in dire straits in can also be used as a mask. Available from Clairns counters nationwide  for €36.50.

Benefit 'that gal' Brightening Face primer. This is another favourite of mine for this time of year. It can be worn alone or under make up to give a bright dewy finish to the skin. This product is a lot more pink so really gives you a healthy skin tone. I have even popped a little bit over the top of a made up face on particularly bad days lol.It flatters all skin tones from the palest of the pale to the deepest of the deep. Available on counter at Benefit nationwide €32.

Last but not least is the Botanics All Bright radiance Balm, again this can be used as a over your moisturiser to give a healthy glow. It can also be used also also silky makeup primer. I have also so used a little of this over foundation as a highlighter. This is also available from Boots stores at a very affordable   €7.99. This is also included in the 3 for 2 offer so grab it fast .

Of course it goes without saying that you should be drinking plenty of water to combat dry and dull  skin from the inside. This is often easier said than done as lets face it water while good for you is boring. Hopefully these products will help you at least look healthy on the outside. To help the inside drink the bloody water!!!

Cork fashion week Opera Lane autumn/winter 15 preview

Hey guys so last week i was lucky enough to be on the guest list for the invite only Opera Lane autumn/winter 15 fashion preview. This fab event took place at the very trendy Perry St. Cafe which was transformed on the night. The event itself was fantastic..food and prosecco and fab DJ really set the mood. As the models took to the runway we were not disappointed.

Showcasing the latest trends i have to say there was a lot that caught my eye, from the luxurious faux furs to snuggly knits and sparkly numbers perfect for the festive season. There is a huge array of shops in opera lane, from Topshop, to Only to H&M and Tommy Hilfiger and lots of others. Hell theres even a Starbucks there now which is the perfect spot to take a break and refuel before continuing your shopping trip.
Take a look for yourselves. .....

It was a very stylish and exciting event and a great opportunity to meet up with my fellow cloggers  (cork bloggers)

                                           Richael from @shelllabelle and myself.

I also found out on the night that the wonderful Natasha Crowley who styled the show is available free of charge (by appointment) to help you figure out your style. So if you are stuck in a rut and fancy a change or have no idea what you suits you check out the Opera Lane website and make your free appointment. I know I will be.Claire xxx

Tight Ass Tuesday....Get your Glow on with Botanics Radiance Balm

WOW WOW WOW...That's all I can say about this little tube form the Botanics range in Boots.
Its the Radiance Balm,All Bright and its fan- bloody- tastic.

It glides onto the skin and give a stunning glow. This can be used all over the face under your foundation which will give a beautiful ' lit from within' look to the skin.
It can also be used over your foundation as a highlighter on the high points of your cheeks, down the centre of the nose and in the cupids bow.
This balm smells Divine..it would also be really nice along the collar bones to add a sexy glow or down the shins to give the illusion of longer and leaner limbs( and who doesn't want that??)
Anther spot to use it is under the brow..it gives a clean edge and the illusion of higher arch so a more awake appearance to the eye area.
It reminds me a lot of  Benefits highlighters..it will give a very similar effect but for a much smaller price.
I bought mine this week in Boots in Mahon Point and its 1/2 price so it only costs a tiny €3.99
Get yours fast...you will not be disappointed.
This is how it is packaged and normally retails at €7.99,currently €3.99 in  Boots in Mahon Point
This is the colour of the product its a light peachy colour.
This is my before and after the before is the grey looking hand on top and the after is the bottom hand which just looks youthful and glowy.

Wow me Wednesday....Got2be Happy Hour hairspray

Welcome back to wow me Wednesday...

Today's review is a bit of a weird one but its something most of us use..its hairspray.
Do you want a stunning style that lasts? Then got2b happy hour 24 hour hairspray  will be your ultimate new best friend. Gives your style the long lasting hold you want  from morning until night.
First thing to mention...some hairsprays have a strong chemical scent..not this one  it has a fresh almost fruity scent.
This gives really good hold to the hair without stopping the hair from moving in a natural way. ...your  hair style is intact but the hair has good body and movement if that makes any sense?
You don't get helmet hair with this hairspray but you do get long lasting hold.
It also doesn't leave the hair crunchy which i hate. You can still run your fingers through your hair  without any stickiness or tackiness a huge plus point for me :)
This left my hair really shiny and was easy to brush out if i changed my mind on the style.
You can spray the whole head or spray individual strands to create a funkier style..whatever look you want this will hold it in place.
Available in Boots,Sam McCauleys and other selected pharmacies as well as some major supermarkets It is  priced at around  €5.75 or included in the 3 for 2 at boots right now

Make up Monday.... No 7 Pop and Glow

Welcome back to Make up Monday

Today I am talking about Boots No7 Pop and Glow stick. This comes in 2 shades Sunrise Glow and Sunset Glow.
Pop&Glow in Sunrise glow is perfect for adding blush and bronzing shimmer to lighter skin tones.
The blush side is perfect for creating subtle colour and is very easy to build up, the bronzer/highlighter adds shimmer to help complete your makeup look.
Pop&Glow in Sunset glow on the other hand is perfect for darker skin tones or those of us to like to fake tan.
The blusher and bronzer/highlighter can be applied separately on to cheeks and blended with fingertips. You can also swirl them together to give a gorgeous hint of blush and glow
You can also apply it in one sweep ..this helps to give an instant contoured look to the cheeks and helps to give the illusion of cheekbones if you don't have any!!!
Thanks to its handy size and twist up applicator,  it is also perfect for popping in your handbag and applying your make up on the go.
This is new for 2015 and just launched on March 18 Thisa cost €12.95 but I think its worth it...Get yours today ..you'll love it !!
