Hey Dolls,
Today I'm back with a review of the most luxurious shower gel Ive tried in a long while. It is from the fab brand Crabtree & Evelyn. This is a real heritage brand which is going from strenght to strenght since 1972.
This brand is known and respected for its original fragrances, and beautiful packaging which go a long way towards making a daily necessity become a pleasurable experience.
So what exactly was it I was lucky enough to receive.... Pomegranate, Argan & Grapeseed Shower Gel.
The rich-lathering Gel gently
cleanses and softens the skin.
They says it is a conditioning blend of anti-oxidant-rich
pomegranate and grapeseed extracts, along with nourishing argan, helps
replenish the skin for a smooth and supple finish.
I say it has quite a thick formula so a little is enough for the whole body especially if you use a sponge or one of those shower scrubbies and the formula is very conditioning.
My skin felt very comfortable after my shower, not like it was crying out for body moisturiser like it can do after some shower gels.
This formula can also be used in the bath and it is heavenly...I had to try it for you guys
I was expecting a very feminine and girly scent based on the Packaging and the colour (its pink),however its not. It is fresh with fruity undertone but also a woody note which is the from the fig. Over all I found this to be a very invigorating and unisex fragrance.
I had intended on keeping it for special occasion showers but then I remembered I'm a mom so having a shower without an audience is special enough hahaha.
Crabtree & Evelyn are all about bringing product ranges made with fruit, flower and
plant essences. It is also worth noting that Crabtree & Evelyn formulas are free of: mineral oil, parabens, and propylene glycol.
There is a whole host of products available in this collection ranging from hand cream,to body lotion and even shampoo and conditioner and I plan on trying them all.
I highly recommend this brand especially if you are looking to add a touch of luxury to your busy life, this will definitely do that .
You can find Crabtree & Evelyn in selected pharmacies and online here
Until next time,
Love.

Sexy Scent with The Body Shop Black Musk*
Hey guys,
Recently I received a bottle of the newest perfume oil from The Body Shop. I am of course talking about Black Musk, the sexy big sister of the much loved White Musk. Now i have been a fan of White Musk since I was 14 so was nervous to try the Black Musk in case it was too heady for me. I need not have worried,it is a stunning fragrance.
This fragrance is all about sensuality. Black Musk has a sweetness to it but it also has a darker more sensual side due to musk and woody notes.Even the packaging is sexy with black and hot pink labelling.
Perfume ,if you are not aware is made up of topnotes, middle notes and base notes.
The top notes are the scents that hit you as soon as you spray a perfume, they consist of small, light molecules that evaporate quickly. They form a person's initial impression of a perfume. In this case the top notes consist of bergamot, pear and pink pepper
The middle notes are also called the "heart notes".The scent of a perfume that emerges just before the top notes dissipate. Not surprisingly, the scent of middle note compounds is usually more mellow and "rounded." In this case the Middle notes consist of ylang-ylang and licorice
The base notes are the headier notes and the ones that linger longer on your skin. Base notes bring depth and solidity to a perfume and can be found on the skin up to 24hours after application. Base notes of black vanilla infused with musk, vetiver, and patchouli.
These notes all marry together to make this "Floriental" a delicious, sensual and quite frankly sexy scent, that I adore.
If you want to try it out for yourself it is €25.95 and is available from all Body Shop stores ,find your nearest store HERE
Till next time,
Love,
Claire xx

Equal -part 2 Body products
Hey guys ,so a while back I did a blog on EQUAL perfumes Ireland in midleton. That blog was all about perfumes, but this one is on their fab range of body products. I have over the last number of week been trying everything from bath bombs to shower gels and bubble bath and body lotions and hand creams. It been hard but someone has to do it hahaha.
Ok so the first thing I want to cover are the bath bombs...OMG they are fab totally comparable with Lush bath bombs but only a fraction of the price . I have had a few different ones and they all really soften the water and leave my skin really soft and not at all dried out.I must say my favourite one was a rose bath bomb with actual rose petals in it..how luxurious!!!!
The next products I want to mention are the bath/shower products and body lotions. These are lovely again they are not drying on the skin the bathing products do not strip the skin of essential moisture. They are handmade in the U.K.and are of really good quality. The body lotions glide onto the skin and sink in really quickly. The leave a beautiful scent on the skin which is subtle and they are not sticky or tacky. You can get dressed straight away after applying these body lotions. This is good because lets face it nobody has time to be hanging around waiting for body lotion to sink in.
The next product i want to mention is the hand lotion. This I absolutely loved..I had the rose water and argon oil and it was a real treat. It was very moisturising but not greasy. I found I was able to use this throughout the day and it didn't hinder me by being slippy or greasy .This is great as i have small kids my hands are always in and out of water.
The last product I want to talk about is the amazing Bar of SHAMPOO!!!! Yes you read that right its a solid bar of shampoo and its pretty cool. I didn't know what to expect when i used it but it worked really well even on my hair which is past shoulder lenght. It lathers up really well and leaves hair squeaky clean and smelling amazing. My hubby loved this product...well we both did to be fair once you get your head around it lol I tried the Solid Shampoo Bar in Thyme & Mint its is fragranced with pure essential oils for a beautiful natural fragrance. I did find that this shampoo did not strip my hair and it was left feeling beautifully soft .
Have you discovered this wonderful shop yet...the one I visited was in Midleton but there more opening up around Cork. A new shop is opening soon in Glanmire

Tight ass Tuesday...Porridge for skin issues?!?!
POX...WE HAD THE POX!!!!!
So as some of you know my 2 babies have had the chicken pox for the last month between them. Stressful time in our house as it coincided with both their birthdays. So parties were cancelled..twice..catering was cancelled...twice and my nerves were shattered...more than twice!!!!
First born little girl erupted the day before her birthday with a more than generous covering of the pesky pox. She was itchy and tired and withdrawn but mostly itchy. Mr man erupted the day after his first birthday with a crazy amount of spots ..his poor little body was covered.
So I hopped in the car and headed to the chemist and supermarket. The chemist for an antihistamine and the supermarket for PORRIDGE OATS and pop socks!!!!
One of the best treatments for chicken pox is actually porridge oats..not ready brek..the actual oats. put them into a pop sock or tight leg and tie around the bath tap so the water flows through as you are filling the bath. Use nothing else!!
When added to bathwater, it creates a milky dispersion so when you get into the tub, the water feels silky, as it coats, moisturises, softens, and protects your skin.
Oats also works great to help relieve dry, skin patches , psoriasis, acne, sunburns, and other itching and scratching rashes.
Since colloidal oatmeal has an anti-itch property that helps reduce the “need to itch,” soaking in the bath brings soothing comfort to those infected.
When your skin is itchy and irritated, its pH level may be higher. Colloidal Oatmeal helps bring the pH back to normal levels, taming "the need to itch.
You may have the urge to take a hot bath, but this will only irritate the skin and remove moisture from your body, so a warm bath is preferable. Soak in the bath for ten to fifteen minutes.
When drying, don't rub your skin since this. can irritate the sore areas. Instead, pat yourself dry with a clean towel.
Thankfully little miss has made a full recovery and mr man is well on the way,we are way past the contagious stage so its great to get out of the house as cabin fever was setting in big time.
Now to organise parties...again!!!!
