Emjoi MICRO Pedi Nano

Hey guys welcome back to my blog.

Today is all about feet. Now I dont know about you but i hate feet...all feet (except cute little baby feet ) I was a dancer for years when i was younger so my feet have had more than their fair share of abuse and trust me they look like it. I do not like my feet but i need them. Your feet work hard each day so its important that you look after them.
It is usually once summer comes rolling around people start thinking of their feet but it really should be a year round maintenance. If however your poor feet look more like pigs trotters than its time to step up (pardon the pun ) and look after them.
Its time to say goodbye to rough coarse calloused skin on your feet and say hello to sexy smooth feet. There is nothing worse than putting on tights of stockings and the hard skin on your toes catching on the material.

Now neglected feet are not just ugly they can also be very painful esp if you suffer with cracked heels..im sure we have all been behind someone on an escalator and seen sore cracked heels, I know I have.
Well now you can take action and treat your feet in a flash .

I was very lucky to be sent an exciting piece of kit in the post to do just that.
ts from Enjoi and its the MICRO Pedi Nano and it launched this month in  Ireland. The MICRO Pedi nano is ultra light and super portable.

Wow me Wednesday with Inoar Haircare

Hey guys, so recently I was sent a haircare kit from Inoar haircare. The kit I was sent was the BB cream range.
Suitable for all types of hair but it is especially recommended for hair that gets a lot of abuse from hair dryer & straightener and hair colouring.
The line includes shampoo, conditioner, mask, oil and leave-in conditioner.

SO, what can I say I absolutely loved it.
The first time I used the shampoo (even though I knew it wouldn't ) I found it odd that it didn't really foam, this is because the range is 100% salt free and PH balanced. So there are no nasty chemical foaming agents but still your hair ends up squeaky clean. I then applied a tiny amount of conditioner which again just feels like silk to the touch. The conditioner has a balm like texture which deeply hydrates and replenishes the hair.
The first thing I noticed was how soft and manageable my hair was after being blow dried. Then I noticed the shine...very impressed after just one use. The next morning  was particularly windy and I noticed around midday I  had some crazy windswept hair going on. I was after bringing the oil from the range in my bag for my mother to smell..more on that later! So I  decided to pop a little bit through my hair...WOW what a difference sleek and shiny and no more resembling beatlejuice.
The next time i washed my hair I again used the shampoo but this time I tried the leave in conditioner. I normally don't like using leave ins as I find they can weigh my hair down and it can look kinda limp and lank  I was very impressed that didn't happen with this one. What I  got was again soft ,manageable silky shiny hair.
I said I  would come back to the fragrance ..OMG...it is beautiful. When I  first opened the kit the first thing that struck me was the fragrance. It smells expensive and luxurious. The fragrance lasts a long time on the hair too
Now for some technical info  the whole range is formulated with omega 6, 7 and 9, its balanced PH and it's
100% salt free. Its continuous use will provide the following 9 benefits to hair:
1. Replenish damaged hair
2. Provides instant shine
3. Give silky smoothness
4. Anti frizz
5. Increase manageability
6. Control flyaways
7. Heat protection
8. Deep hydration
9. Intense nourishment
Inoar can be bought from some selected hairdressers and online from Inoars webite
Thanks so much Inoar..ill definately be ordering I need this in my life .

Tight ass Tuesday...Porridge for skin issues?!?!

POX...WE HAD THE POX!!!!!
So as some of you know my 2 babies have had the chicken pox for the last month between them. Stressful time in our house as it coincided with both their birthdays. So parties were cancelled..twice..catering was cancelled...twice and my nerves were shattered...more than twice!!!!
First born little girl erupted the day before her birthday with a more than generous covering of the pesky pox. She was itchy and tired and withdrawn but mostly itchy.  Mr man erupted the day after his first birthday with a crazy amount of spots ..his poor little body was covered.
So I hopped in the car and headed to the chemist and supermarket. The chemist for an antihistamine and the supermarket for PORRIDGE OATS and pop socks!!!!
One of the best treatments for chicken pox is actually porridge oats..not ready brek..the actual oats. put them into a pop sock or tight leg and tie around the bath tap so the water flows through as you are filling the bath. Use nothing else!!
When added to bathwater, it creates a milky dispersion  so  when you get into the tub, the water feels silky, as it coats, moisturises, softens, and protects your skin.
Oats also works great to help relieve dry, skin patches , psoriasis, acne, sunburns, and  other itching and scratching rashes.
Since colloidal oatmeal has an anti-itch property that helps reduce the “need to itch,” soaking in the bath brings soothing comfort to those infected.
When your skin is itchy and irritated, its pH level may be higher. Colloidal Oatmeal helps bring the pH back to normal levels, taming "the need to itch.
You may have the urge to take a hot bath, but this will only irritate the skin and remove moisture from your body, so a warm bath is preferable. Soak in the bath for ten to fifteen minutes.
When drying, don't rub your skin since this. can irritate the sore areas. Instead, pat yourself dry with a clean towel.
Thankfully little miss has made a full recovery and mr man is well on the way,we are way past the contagious stage so its great to get out of the house as cabin fever was setting in big time.
Now to organise parties...again!!!!

BAFTAS Style!!!

So last night it was the BAFTA awards, I didn't think much of the 'style' to be honest. Here are a few pics from the red carpet :

Hollyoaks returnee Jennifer Metcalfe  in her sheer black gown from Philip Armstrong.
The asymmetric number featured a plunging neckline and a bizarre cut out panel which flashed the soap star’s thighs. before flowing into a dramatic full length skirt.  I'm not a fan of this either :(
Brooke Vincent,Rochelle Humes and Pixie Lott

Coronation Street favourite Brooke looked gorgeous in her simple Mark Melia dress, which featured pockets and a layered hemline.

Rochelle meanwhile utterly dazzled in her Zeynep Kartal garment, which left little to the imagination..

Pixie Lott showed off her slim figure in her black number which flashed some skin thanks to the peekaboo fabric

 Michelle Keegan
Michelle Keegan was another one of the big TV stars to hit the red carpet, with the former Corrie star choosing a floaty mint green dress which I don't think did anything for her..she rarely gets it wrong but this is a no- no for me

Tight Ass Tuesday with Aldi!!!

Hey guys so we've just had the May bank holiday complete with crappy weather but that means the June bank holiday is fast approaching. Along with that will come some hopefully warm weather so its time to start thinking about protecting our skin in the sun.

No matter what skincare you use be it Creme De La Mer or La Prairie or Aldi's finest or somewhere in between, it will make no difference if you don't look after and protect your skin from sun damage.
The sun is the cause of  most of the damage to our skin.. Sure environmental factors and lifestyle play a part but sun damage causes lines,wrinkles,pigmentation,crepeness....etc...etc... and they are not the worst effect.
The cause can be detrimental to our health if abused but if you look after your skin you can safely have fun in the sun this summer.

Which brings me to Aldi no less..They do a range of sun protection that is actually very good.

It is from their Lacura range and they do a wide range of factors ranging from 10 to 50+.
They are available in a milk formula and an oil formula in some of the factors.
I use the Extra sensitive Sun Spray Kids 50+ on my family. I use the factor 30 in a spray formula on myself.
I am dark haired and sallow skinned so i tan very well given half a chance(with 2 kids under 3 i don't see that happening this year) but i don't go lower than factor 30 on my body and 50+ on my face.
Obviously with kids I'm not going lower than 50+ and my hubby is very pale and freckly so he uses the 50+ too.
The formula is very lightweight for a 50+ they can tend to be very thick with some brands and can leave you looking like you are covered in Dulex brilliant white. This doesn't happen with Aldi sun protection. It is not sticky either once its rubbed in you can go about your day very quickly.

One thing worth mentioning is that  as well as high UVB protection they have an excellent UVA rating ..they all have 5 star rating which is the highest you can get. Why is this important..the UVA rays are the ageing rays the ones that cause lines wrinkles premature ageing etc. The 5 star rating means the product has maximum filters in the product to stop those rays reaching the epidermis and into the deeper  layers of your skin.

There is a misconception that around a LONG time about sun cream and that is that it will stop me tanning...NOT TRUE . You will get a beautiful tan if that's what you want but it will be a safe tan.
I worked in pharmacy for 10 years and the amount of people that refused to buy high sun protection because 'it will stop me tanning ' was frightening.  I always use high factors now...not the case in my teens and early 20's but the dangers were not well known then..they are now.Guys please if you want to look after your skin use protection!!! You will still tan just do it the right way please.

Make up Monday with Urban Decay

So over the weekend I was invited into Urban Decay for the launch of their summer collection.
The weather was beyond crappy and dull beyond belief, but my God will the new collection brighten your mood. The summer collection is full of stunning vibrant shades guaranteed to give you the most up to date look to your make up.

First up is of course the Lip gloss.....Revolution High Colour Lip gloss which comes  in 14 beautiful shades
Now obviously as my name suggests I freaking love lip gloss and they are not all created equally. These glosses are so pigmented they are super long lasting but they are not sticky. I HATE sticky gloopy lip glosses. You know the kind when you open your mouth and get those stringy bits at the edges.. that is NOT going to happen with these. The shine is unreal its like a lacquer on your lip giving a real wet look. These are a sexy sophisticated way to wear lip gloss.Retails for €19 and there is a waiting list for the purple as it sold out on the day it was launched.

Next up are the eye shadows..8 stunning new shades which cover blue, purple, green, browns, pinks and some amazing two-tone shades.
The shadows retail for €18 and can be popped out and put into the travel pallet if you have one..ideal for going on holidays etc.
The pigmentation of the shadows is incredible and they are whisper soft to the touch,so they will not settle into any pesky lines you might have.

Last up is the blusher.....Afterglow 8hr powder blush (no offence to UD but calling this 8hr was a mistake it last a LOT longer)
These come in 12 incredible shades ranging for a subtle coral/brown to a vivid purple and even a red/burnt orange. Now I'm not going to lie when i saw the vivid colours i was a little scared, but as Cathryn and Jamie pointed out if you are tanned or darker skinned it is very hard to get blush to show up on your skin. These colours look amazing on darker/tanned skinned. They really make your skin pop and look alive.
I love the packaging of the blushes..I'm a sucker for nice packaging i really get seduced by the packaging..if its crap I'm not going to purchase it. Urban's packaging is on-point!!!
The blush retail for  €28 and is worth every cent.

If you are not familiar with Urban Decay they have some amazing products.

Their Naked Skin  foundation is gorgeous and buildable without looking caked on the face.It is oil free and paraben free as is most of the range actually. The foundation comes in 18 shades. The foundation also comes in tones..so pink toned or yellow toned in each shade so finding a perfect match is very easy. (Review to follow) Retails for €37 and is a 30ml size.

Their best selling mascara Perversion Mascara is a lenghtening and volumizing formula. It has a gorgeous creamy texture and it is blackest black. It is very buildable. You can add layer after layer of this and it will not clump. The twisted trim on the brush latches on to each lash to separate and define.. It pulls through lashes smoothly and lays down a generous amount of product. No need to wiggle the wand or manoeuvre it at all different angles!(Full review to follow ) Retails for €22.

Now drum roll please.....I didn't know a product like this existed but its the Ultimate Ozone Multipurpose Pencil retails for €19.
So big deal Claire its a pencil..NO ITS NOT..this is a magic wand! You can use this little beauty to erase any make up mistakes you have made.
Putting on red lipstick and its goes outside the lip line...Not a problem grab this wonder stick and it removes it in a flash.
Putting on your mascara and you blink before its dry and get mascara on your eyelid ...one swipe of this pencil and its gone. A must own product that can also be used to temporarily erase your wrinkles!!!
Full review on even more Urban Decay products coming in the next few weeks XXX
