Tight Ass Tuesday...W7 In the Night Pallet

Hello my Tight assed friends...welcome back :)
So I had never tried a W7 eyeshadow until recently,I had seen them in Sam McCauleys and thought wow they are cheap and look very similar to the Naked pallets (which are considerably more expensive)I have been playing with this pallet for the last 3 weeks and i have to say I'm impressed.
On first look at this palette I definitely think this is more suited for an evening look..as the name would suggest!!
These beautifully coordinated shadows gives you a  defined eye that allows you to go as bold or natural as you want. The silky smooth formula glides effortlessly onto the skin for long-lasting colour.
If you have 'young' eyes..IE wrinkle free and not crepey you'll be fine..if you are slightly older you may find the darker shades tend to settle in the crease's the day goes on but a quick blend with a dry finger will sort that out
 I think there's something for everyone in this palette whether you're dark or light skinned, or whether you're bold or subtle with your makeup. I'm quite enjoying playing about with these shades to create various looks....the pigmentation is fantastic and the price is so affordable

Tanning Thursday...Do's and Dont's

Tanning Thursday is back again and today's post is  the Ultimate Do's and Dont's of Fake Tan Application

Summer is fast approaching and I have gotten lots of messages saying 'I love the reviews on the tan,but what is the best way to apply?'
So I thought I would take this opportunity to compile a list of helpful do's and dont's...pay attention :

DO rub a ice cube over the face first to seal your pores.

DO exfoliate 24 hours before tanning, use an exfoliator that contains a AHA.

DO moisturise the dry areas on your body before tanning, i.e Hands, feet, knees, ankles and any dry areas.
DO pick a self tanning product that suits your skin tone
DO build up fine layers when it comes to the face. 
DO start from the face and work down your body in stages leaving your hands and feet till last. 
DO moisturise daily so your tan lasts longer
DO exfoliate after 4 days to help your tan fade evenly.

Now for the what not to do .....

DON'T use oils on the skin after tanning, this will strip your self tan and make it look uneven.
When using a gradual tan, DON'T apply more than once every two days, otherwise your tan will look unnatural.
DON'T wash your hands for at least 8 hours after tanning, otherwise you will get the white hands brown arms look.
DON'T shave the day after tanning, if you have to, use an electric shaver as this will not remove your tan.
DON'T apply product directly onto hands and feet, work the excess product from the arms onto the hands and the excess tan from the legs onto the feet area.If you want to go darker, apply a second layer an hour later, DON'T apply on the next day
DON'T over-rub your self tan when applying.

Wow me Wednesday...Bare Minerals Bare Skin Foundation

Today's is about Bare skin....Bare skin foundation that is from Bare minerals.
Now I've been a fan of bare minerals for years after I discovered it in Boston.I love the original bare minerals foundation ..gives great coverage and a flawless finish. When I heard they were bringing out a fluid foundation I was very excited....Step up Bare skin
.It is a mineral foundation and serum in one.It has SPF 20...it is super light and its ultra thin formula give seamless coverage.
It is hypoallergenic and suitable for all skin types and tones as it comes in a choice of 20 shades!!
Now this cannot be applied by hand you need to purchase the specially designed brush for best application. Use between 2 and 6 drops depending on the coverage you want to achieve.
 I used the shade Bare Shell and without self tan on it was a great match.
.The brush is packed with a little well in the middle drop the foundation in the well and buff onto the skin in circular motions.. Very quick to apply and gives a beautiful finish...

Tight ass Tuesday...Cinderella edition from Essence

Lots of you loved my post on Mac's Cinderella collection but private messaged me saying Claire, I love it but cant afford it...well you have no excuse now Essence has come to your rescue and  launched their Cinderella collection and its lovely...

Make up Monday....Lipgloss

Yay!! Its Make up Monday again and today it's lipgloss..my favourite make up product.

I LOVE lipgloss..anyone who knows me will vouch for that.I always have a few in my handbag (because one is never enough)
My lipgloss wardrobe varies from Mac  to Dior and from to Rimmel and Essence.
I am not a lipgloss snob but I will agree they are not all made equal.
That said if you are looking for something cheap and cheerful to give a bit of gloss and sparkle you cant go wrong with Essence..they are less than €3.00 but not very pigmented and dont last very last ,you will need to reapply

Next wrung on the lipgloss ladder would be Rimmel..still very affordable less than €8.00 more long lasting if not eating or drinking and a lot more pigmented.

Higher up again and we reach Mac..I love their lipglass the colours are beautiful but it is sticky..you will have hairy lips on a windy day..it is more expensive at €18.50

Top of the ladder for me is Dior Addict gloss Its magical formula gives lips unprecedented mirror shine and incredible comfort. The gel lipcare formula, plumps and moisturizes lips for an intensified volume-boosting effect.Foe me its well worth the €30.00

Tanning Thursday Sally Hansen Airbrush legs

Hello and welcome back to Tanning Thursday.
Today it's all about Sally...Sally hansen airbrush legs that is.
I have used this tan for years and years.
It is a great tan if you decide to go out at the last minute and don't have time to wait for it to develop.
However it is not the best tan if it's raining very heaving.. (a light shower or a quick dash from car to bar is fine ) but it can end up running in very wet conditions and that's not a good look.
When applying this tan you need to work FAST!!!! It dries very very quickly which is great for getting dressed after application.
There is no yucky fake tan smell and skin is left look beautiful.
This is a must have for every beauty cupboard ...availble in supermarkets and chemists usually around €14.99

This hypo-allergic, nickel free mini iron applicator fits perfectly into the inner corner of your eye, is cool on contact and irons away any fine lines and wrinkles. FANTASTIC... The formula of this gel helps to reduce puffiness and has a cooling agent that is super refreshing on the eyes.
It also has light reflecting particles to brighten up that dark area and give it a more youthfull glow.
As you know from previous blogs I love YSL Touche Eclat..I have to say I prefer this for under my eyes,whilst the touche eclat is brill for covering darkness it does nothing for puffyness this is where Puff off is fantastic

Tight Ass Tuesday Gel effect nail polish

Today is all about one the fastest growing trends in nail polish..the gel finish. Nails Inc were the first to bring this trend out of the salon and into our homes.However if at €17.00 per bottle in BT's they are too expensive for your pocket we now have a dupe. Stepping up to the plate is Penney's. They have brought out a range of gel effect polish for only €2.00..yes you read that correctly ... €2.00.. Is the quality as good of course not but it isn't half bad.You will get a couple of days wear before chipping and there is a good shine from it. I would definitely recommend using a base coat to avoid straining but you can get away with skipping the top coat. Snap some up today

The products I have tried are the Sleek i-Divine shadow palettes
.Each palette has a combination of 12 shadows ranging from earthy natural day tones to electric neons depending on the palette you choose.
My palette of choice was the Oh So Special.it has 7 matte shades and 5 shimmer shades. It is a good palette for day to evening looks as you can just add a shimmer over top for night time glamour.The colours in the palette coordinate nicely,in warm pinks and browns and are highly pigmanted
.A big plus is there is very little fall out esp from the shimmers.The brown shades can be used as a brow shadow in a pinch as well so thats handy.
 The palettes are available in a choice of 12 options ,you are sure to find one thats perfect for you.
A huge plus for me is the range is NOT tested on animals

Fancy Friday L'occitane hand cream

Today's topic is handcream..L'occitane hand creams to be specific.
I find in winter my hands really suffer. They get dry cracked and sore esp since I have babies my hands are constantly in and out of water.
I am not great for applying handcream during the day so I love L'occitane Shea butter. It has 20% Shea butter so it is extremely hydrating .
I like to apply a thick layer when I go to bed and when I wake in the morning my hands are beautifully soft. I always keep a mini tube in my purse in case I have a spare moment and at the moment my fragrance of choice is the rose. It is a fresh cut rose scent and it's beautiful .

Tanning Thursday Fake Bake

 Welcome to Tanning Thursday and todays review is of Fake Bake Original tan.

This tan is one of the only fake tan ive ever used that actually leaves your skin feeling moisturised and hydratred. It's made with technology that promotes a smoother application for a deeper, darker, longer-lasting tan by up to 50%.The lotion comeswith a pair of blue latex gloves for application.It is vital that you wear these because you do not want to end up with really dark brown palms.

The lotion is a very dark brown color that's almost black.This ensures a natural looking deep dark tan that doesn't look like it came from a bottle. It is one the darkest and most natural self tanners I have ever used.

You do go to bed looking like you have have rolling around in the mud and it will transfer off onto your sheats (i do mine the night before bed laundry day)but it is worth it.The next morning when you shower off the guide colour you are left with a beautiful tan and silky smooth skin.On me the last about 4 to 5 days and fades naturally with no patchy dirty bits.

Wow me Wednesday Mememe cosmetics

Todays blog is all about ME... Mememe cosmetics that is. Ok so I am totally new to this brand never even heard of it until it was mentioned on here.I spotted it in O'Sullivan's pharmacy in Wilton shopping centre and I was blown away.The packagaing is very cute and not cheap and crappy like some i could mention.The product range is fantastic ,great choice of shades,and textures but the quality is Fanbloodytastic.I purchased a few bits and will definately be buying the entire range to review each product but for now what i did buy.. I purchased the Beat the blues highlighter. which comes in 2 shades ,which are incredible dupes for Benefit's high beam and moon beam but costs only €6.99!!!!!They give a lovely sheen and glow to the skin but in a sublte and sexy grown up way.

I also purchased an eyeshadow quad,these are fantastic,very pigmented and very little fall off when applying. They are a baked shadow so not drying on the lid and I found they didnt settle in the little creases which is great because you are not left with a miserable line of shadow when you blink !! They can also be applied wet for a more dramatic evening look and cost only €8.50.

The last product i bought was the blush in a coral shade which is identical to Benefits Coralista (even has a little brush)and costs only €10.99. The colour is great ,coverage is even and smooth..I loved it. I cannot wait to try more from this range..they even have lipgloss with a light in the wand how fab does that sound .
This is my new favourite affordable range check it out ASAP

Tanning Thursday Cocoa Brown

Welcome back to Tanning Thursday

This weeks product is from Cocoa Brown tan and I tried the 1 hour tan.I bought this in Penneys/primark and it cost €8.00
I had heard a lot about this tan so I did have high hopes and was not disappointed.
The fragrance is not like other fake tans (soggy biscuit) smells lovely and exotic.
iIt is very moisturising and gentle enough to be used on both face and body.
It is an easy to apply mousse, fast-drying, non-stick and fades evenly.
Another plus for me is that it contains no Parabens and is kind to sensitive skin.
Apply tan and wait between 1 and 3 hours. Color Varies between light and dark depending on how long you leave the tan on before showering.
Once you wash it off the GOLDEN tan ( not orange ) will last up to 5 days.
I love that this tan fades evenly ..no patchy dirty looking bits

OMG I am so excited todays collection is from Mac and it is the Mac Cinderella collection.It is available from feb26 online and on counter from March 5th .
Im a sucker for nice Packaging and this is flipping beautiful..it is in the iconic Cinderella blue and it is gorgeous and subtly shimmery.
